Overview

It has been our basic principle for continuous improvement in programme delivery at Empirical Multidisciplinary Institute. In addition to our accreditation with the HWSETA, ETDPSETA, CHASSETA and the QCTO for further education and occupational certificates, Empirical Multidisciplinary Institute has ventured into offering undergraduate and post graduate qualifications in collaboration with Keystone University of Africa, which is accredited by the Zambian Higher Education Authority (HEA). We are offering courses in the field of commerce, health and safety, environment, development, and legal studies. Such a partnership will increase the quality, value, and diversity in the services we are offering our clients.

Admission Requirements

Qualification Pathway

Requirement

South African NSC (National Senior Certificate)

Minimum of five subjects passed at Level 4 (50–59%) or better, including Mathematics and Physical Sciences. English must be one of the passed subjects.

IGCSE / Cambridge International

Minimum of five subjects passed with grades A to C*, including Mathematics and Physical Sciences. English proficiency is required. AS or A-levels in science-related subjects are advantageous.

Diploma Route

Completion of a relevant Occupational Health and Safety diploma or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

Mature Entry / Work Experience

Minimum of 2 years’ verifiable work experience in social services, community development, or a related field. Supporting documentation required.

Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health

The Bachelor of Occupational Health degree program is designed to provide an academically comprehensive curriculum that prepares graduates with the ability and competency to become highly qualified safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental professionals.
