Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Health and Environmental Studies explores the intersection of community well-being and ecological sustainability, integrating social science with environmental science to foster holistic understanding and practical solutions. Offered in collaboration with Keystone University of Africa—accredited by the Zambian Higher Education Authority—this programme provides a unique opportunity to develop interdisciplinary skills in sustainability, environmental policy, and public health, preparing graduates to lead initiatives that promote long-term health and environmental resilience

Admission Requirements

Qualification Pathway

Requirement

South African NSC (National Senior Certificate)

Minimum of five subjects passed at level 4 (50–59%) or better, including English and Life Sciences or Geography. Life Orientation is excluded from the APS calculation.

IGCSE / Cambridge International

Minimum of five subjects passed with grade C or better, including English and Biology or Environmental Management. A-levels or AS-levels in science-related subjects may strengthen the application.

Diploma Route

Completion of a diploma in Environmental Health, Public Health, or a related field from a recognized institution.

Mature Entry / Work Experience

Minimum of 2 years’ verifiable work experience in environmental health, sustainability, or community health. Supporting documentation required.
